God’s Eternal Gift

  • Heaven and Hell is real.
  • The wages of our sin is death (not just physical death but also spiritual death – this means total separation from God).
  • Sin is sin no matter how big or small it is.
  • Due to our sinful nature, we all deserve hell.

Our God is both just and merciful. His love for us is so profound that He reached out to save us from an eternity of suffering and separation from Him. Just as a loving parent forgives their child for any mistake, no matter how great or small, God extends His hand to welcome us with open arms if we believe in His son Jesus Christ.

In John 3:16 ,we read – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Also on Romans 5:8, we read – But God commandeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

These verses reveals the depth of God’s love and sacrifice for us. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to atone for our sins. For us to be saved, we must believe that Jesus is God incarnate, our Redeemer, and our Savior who conquered death. His sacrificial death paid the penalty for our sins, and His blood cleanses us from all unrighteousness. The wages of sin is death but instead of our own spiritual death, Jesus paid it for us through His death. As a result, when we stand before the judgment throne, we can have confidence that we will not be condemned. Belief in Him goes beyond mere acknowledgment; it requires wholehearted trust, obedience, and complete surrender to Him.

Jesus gift of salvation is a precious gift, offered freely to anyone who chooses to receive it, and it comes with the extraordinary promise of eternal life in heaven.

John 1:12-13But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 3:18He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but He that believeth not is condemned already, because He hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

It all starts with recognizing that we are sinners and understanding that, on our own, we deserve hell. We need to genuinely repent for our sins by turning away from them and asking forgiveness from God.

This is where Jesus comes into the picture. He is the Son of God who came to Earth, lived a perfect life, and took on the punishment for our sins by dying on the cross. But it doesn’t end there—He rose from the dead, proving His power over sin and death, and then He ascended into heaven.

Through Jesus’ death, resurrection, and ascension, we find a way to be forgiven and given a fresh start – to be born again. Instead of facing the punishment we deserve, we’re offered a new life and a restored relationship with God, thanks to His incredible grace.

Being born again (I’m not talking about religion) means experiencing a fundamental transformation in which a person turns away from their old life of sin and begins a new life in Christ. It involves repentance, acceptance of Jesus as Savior, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. This spiritual rebirth is necessary for salvation and is central to Christian faith.

In a conversation with Nicodemus, a Pharisee, Jesus explains the concept of being born again:

John 3:3-7 – Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Here, Jesus emphasizes that being born again is a spiritual rebirth brought about by the Holy Spirit, enabling a person to enter the kingdom of God.

Because of religion and personal motives of humanity, the truth of salvation has been twisted so many times. But as a follower of Christ, you only need to focus on the Bible to really know the truth.

Now that you know all of these, the next step is for you to decide what to do next. You just learned that there is heaven and hell. You learned as humans we are bound to hell because of our sins unless we accept and follow Christ who is the son of God. Having this wisdom in you, I urge to you act now before it’s too late. Remember no RELIGION will save you, no Priest or PASTOR will save you, no Good Works will save you, ONLY JESUS CAN!

John 14:6 – Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Are you ready to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?
